So while removing some extra components, I'm constructing two devices—one for a friend and another for his son.
The unit for my son worked fine (though the child spent four days fine-tuning it over something trivial), but the one for my friend is honestly beginning to cause me trouble.
Gigabyte GA-B150-GSM board
Intel i7-6700 4C / 8T processor
Stock Intel cooler
HyperX Predator DDR4-2400
Silcon Power A55 256GB SATA M.2
HP Enterprise 1.92TB 2.5 SSD
Corsair CX650F RGB PSU
Thermaltake Core P3 open air chassis
Corsair Lighting Node
Corsair LL120 x 3)
The machine operates well, but the fans aren't showing any lighting effects. The PSU behaves as expected, yet it can't be adjusted, and none of the other settings are possible.
I've verified every connection, swapped controllers, bypassed a USB splitter, and still nothing.
Has anyone encountered this situation before?
I must admit, I'll never purchase Corsair products again—they've always been a source of frustration for me.
