Hi guys, Not new to building PC's but this really has me tearing what's left of my hair out. Parts are Ryzen 5 5600G ZEN 3 Asus Tuf Gaming B450m plus ii motherboard Crucial Ballistix BL2K8G36C16U4B 3600 MHz, DDR4, DRAM 16GB (8GB x2), CL16 Crucial P2 1TB M.2-2280 PCIe 3.0 x4 NVMe SSD Gamemax 600W PSU All built up as standard but i get no display at all, no post beep, nothing. Fans all start but no display. I initially started with a msi B550 Pro mobo and had same problem, trying 2 different brands of ram but same, no display. Switched motherboard thinking maybe it wasn't compatible with the CPU (plus it seemed to have a derisory list of approved compatible RAM) but getting the same result with the ASUS. I've checked all compatibility issues and as far as i can see there shouldn't be a problem or am i missing something? Beginning to think maybe the CPU is faulty, unlikely i know but clutching at straws now. Any help/advice appreciated
The BIOS hasn’t been updated yet. These boards typically don’t receive updates by default, and neither of them appears to be showing any debug lights.

It varies by motherboard. You can often perform this if your board supports BIOS flashback. The MSI model you own includes this capability, as does the ASUS version. Follow the guidelines in your motherboard manual—typically it requires downloading the newest BIOS file, extracting it, renaming it (like ASUS.ROM), saving it to a USB drive, inserting the drive into a specific port, pressing the back button, and waiting 5–10 minutes. The exact steps are detailed in the manual.
Successfully updated the BIOS. Removed the motherboard from the case, deleted CPU and RAM, and re-flashed the BIOS using the included utility. Everything functioned properly afterward. Installing Windows was fine initially. After updating all software and drivers, the system rebooted, opened the Windows login screen, and the display appeared correctly. I can access BIOS settings by pressing F2 or Del. It works well once in BIOS but disappears when switching to Windows. Reinstalling Windows didn’t resolve the issue. Any suggestions for troubleshooting?
Is the problem still present? Have you adjusted any settings? Was there a chance to replace the CMOS battery, as that might be causing the display issue?
It's odd. I can explore bios as much as I want and everything works fine. When I set up Windows it runs smoothly without any display problems. It looks like the issue only appears after spending about an hour with all updates and driver installations. Restarting the PC brings me to the Windows welcome screen, then to a black screen. Pressing Del to open bios works without trouble and lets me view all my settings. I'm using a 600-watt power supply, so it's not related to power supply issues. I haven't overclocked anything. I'll try removing the CMOS battery and see if that resolves it. Let me know.
Change the GPU slot configuration. Test with minimal RAM settings, none, and other configurations.
It appears the issue may be related to a display driver problem, possibly caused by Windows installing an incorrect driver. Try booting in Safe Mode to test if the display works. If it does, obtain the appropriate driver from AMD’s support site and install it accordingly.

After reinstalling Windows 10 and changing the settings, it stopped auto-updating. I tried installing Radeon software but it keeps failing with error 205.
