Hey! I’m working through this setup issue. It seems there are problems with RAM, GPU, and OS. After cleaning up and rebuilding, I have two Crucial modules—one fits in a special slot while the other doesn’t when swapped. Both work partially but not fully. The working module is in the non-recommended position. Is the problem with the RAM sticks, the motherboard, or both?

I would start by booting the system with one of the installed memory modules in a verified slot, then run Memtest. Next, I'd attempt to install the other module in the same slot. If the first fails, the issue lies with the memory module itself. If both boot successfully and pass testing, the problem likely relates to the mainboard.

Thank you, I didn't remember that tool. The last time I had to swap RAM was for a 1MB module, and I plan to try it again tomorrow morning.

The test using the "good" stick in its designated slot produced no issues, while the other stick failed to boot in any slot but showed up in Memtest when both were connected. When you used the 8GB stick, it functioned perfectly in all slots despite only having 8GB available.
