Hello
I’m planning a fresh setup for my 1440P gaming rig. I’ve been saving for Black Friday but was caught off guard by the prices of RAM, and it’s been a bit of a shock. A friendly suggestion could help me choose wisely these days?

My budget is roughly 2000 euros, with room to go up to 2500 if the upgrade looks promising. I’m based in Belgium and shop online, so I can easily order from nearby countries too. The main purpose will be gaming, but I also want it suitable for productivity tasks. It should be durable enough to last at least a few years.

I had a build a few months ago, but I’m unsure if it’s still relevant or if I should start over. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Also, I don’t need a monitor right now—maybe I’ll get one later, but I already have a 1440p display.

Please note: I don’t require a monitor; I might acquire another one eventually. I’m looking for something that’s up-to-date and future-proof.

Thanks!
P.S., I don’t need a monitor, perhaps I’ll get another one later, but I already have a 1440p one to use.

I had previously requested a build a few months ago There was a previous discussion with recommendations; https://forums. It remains useful, though the cost of RAM and any memory-related components has increased.

there might be a possibility of Ram prices dropping soon. I noticed Corsair cl30 ram was listed at 180 euro two days ago, but it jumped to 360 euro the next day. It seems like RAM prices are currently higher than other components except for GPUs. Even the one mentioned in the link is now over 300 euros.

It's the worst I've ever witnessed. Even worse than the crypto scam a few years ago. It's hard to predict when RAM prices will stabilize.

A chance in the near future?
Yes.
A good chance?
No.
That situation could easily last a year or more and may get worse before it gets better.

Yeah, it looks like buyers are buying up and reselling at ridiculous prices. It was listed for 178, but after a few purchases it jumped to 230, then reached 390. Originally it was handled by Amazon, now it's from third-party sellers. Everyone seems to be taking advantage, but I hope I can find something else if not. Otherwise, I’ll just wait.
