Hi, I’m looking for advice on building a computer for a friend who's new to PC gaming and isn’t particularly focused on high-end visuals. He wants a system capable of playing games at medium settings while maintaining a minimum frame rate of 60fps, excluding integrated graphics solutions. Ideally, the build should be easily expandable for future upgrades as his interest in PC gaming grows. He's considering a budget around $400, but might be open to spending slightly more. Could you suggest some affordable PC builds?

Here’s a revised version of the text:

Looking for an affordable PC setup? My friend is seeking a computer primarily focused on gaming and doesn't require high-end graphics capabilities. We need a budget-friendly build capable of running games at low to medium settings with a smooth frame rate – aiming for 30 to 60 frames per second.

A suggested configuration includes an AMD Ryzen 3 2200G processor (3.5 GHz) along with a Micro ATX ASRock AB350M-HDV motherboard, 8GB of Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4-3000 RAM, a 240 GB Western Digital Blue SSD for the operating system and a 500 GB Western Digital Blue 7200RPM hard drive. The components are housed in a BitFenix Nova ATX mid tower case and powered by a Corsair CXM 450W power supply. This build totals approximately £335.51, including all shipping, taxes, and available discounts.

It’s recommended to use a Ryzen 3 processor featuring integrated graphics. Adding an SSD for the Windows installation will significantly improve loading speeds. Utilizing 8GB of RAM at its faster speed is advised – this will benefit the Ryzen processor. Dual-channel memory configuration is also suggested for optimal performance, potentially boosting frame rates by 20-30%, particularly when using the integrated graphics.
