BSOD occurs repeatedly following BIOS update.
Hello everyone! The issue involves a Gigabyte B450M DS3H Wi-Fi V2 motherboard that isn’t listed on their site. I followed a tutorial video to update it, and initially it worked, but after that it kept crashing with BSODs and blue screens. I can’t even open Windows now. I’ve tried replacing the CMOS battery, but it didn’t help. I’m unsure what I did, but I’ll share the video link.
Is this a CyberPower PC? Check, the latest BIOS likely includes Secure Boot enabled by default and your Windows might not have been installed properly. Open the BIOS, disable Secure Boot, turn on CSM Compatibility Support Module, then boot into Windows. Adjust BIOS settings back to Secure Boot enabled and CSM off, restart into Safe Mode using the provided link.
Apologies for the delayed response. I ended up installing the old CPU and reinstalling Windows just to get my PC running again, which resolved the issue. However, I still faced overheating problems because of a faulty CPU fan, and it seems the motherboard might not have been the problem. Now I’m expecting a Z53 to arrive soon, and I’ll reach out if it keeps showing blue screens afterward.
