Laptop model: HP 15-BA009DX RAM: 16GB DDR3L-1600 SDRAM Storage: 1TB SATA SSD (Crucial) OS: Windows 10, version 2004 (Build 19041.1466) CPU: AMD A6-7310 Graphics: AMD Radeon™ R4 Graphics I’m currently operating a HP 15-BA009DX machine running Windows 10 version 2004, version 10.0.19041.1466. Everything worked until recently when the system began upgrading to version 22H2. I possess a crucial 1TB SATA SSD. During the upgrade, I mistakenly restarted my laptop. This led to a BSOD triggered by SynTP.sys with the error "PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA." To fix it, I tried several approaches: making a bootable USB, accessing the Windows Recovery Environment (RE), using command prompts, and even entering safe mode. Despite these efforts, the touchpad driver kept causing the issue. I didn’t use the touchpad actively and removed the ribbon cable to disable it physically, but I forgot to uninstall the driver before disconnecting the cable. I manually deleted the driver file via the command prompt (PnPUtil). Still, the BSOD remained. My main goal is to keep my personal files safe. I’d appreciate help resolving this without losing data. It appears my files are fine, and I want this resolved. Here’s my crash memory dump: Memory Dump Here are some additional files: I’m using another laptop to retrieve old data. Diskpart Partition Image DiskMGMT SSD Image List Vol Image bcdedit file SrtTrail.txt

You can reinstall Windows while preserving your personal files. That seems like the best approach here.

Take the drive out, place it in an external enclosure connected to another computer, transfer the files you need, and prepare it for installation. It seems you’ll need a full setup, though you can experiment temporarily. If they’re recoverable, the recovery setup should restore them; otherwise, there may be more serious problems.

The dump file doesn't mention SynTP at all; instead, clipsp.sys appears as the problematic driver, possibly showing signs of corruption likely caused by the shutdown during the update. You can set up a Live Session USB using either Windows or Linux (remember the Windows version here lacks networking, so you'd need to move files via USB or another drive) and collect the data that way.

Could you explore alternative methods to reinstall your boot drive section inside the SSD?
