BSOD encountered on Asus ROG Strix G16 with XPS display
I've been facing repeated Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) incidents on my Asus Rog Strix G16, just six months after purchase. The crashes happen 3 to 4 times within two hours. My machine runs an Intel Core i9 13980HX, Nvidia RTX 4060 with 8GB RAM and 16GB DDR5 memory, paired with a 1TB WD SSD. Using WinDbg on the dump files revealed drivers nvlddmkm and dxgmms2 frequently triggering error codes 0x00000116 and 0x0000010e. These problems began after installing the newest Windows 24H2 update, unlike in Windows 23H2 where I never experienced BSODs. In the last two days, the frequency has risen, particularly when using software such as Discord or Adobe Photoshop. I disabled GPU acceleration in both apps but the issue remains. I reinstalled Windows 24H2 via the "Fix problems using Windows Update" tool, did a clean install of Nvidia Game Ready drivers, and updated the BIOS from ASUS. The BSODs aren't random; they occur only when Photoshop or Discord is active. I'm hesitant to revert to Windows 11 23H2 since Microsoft keeps pushing updates, but I'd only consider it as a final option.
