Hello, I brought a 10g SFP+ card expecting it would fit in my case... However, the issue is my graphics card is a bit too large. My specifications are: MB – MSI MAG B460 Tomahawk GPU – MSI 4080 GAMING X TRIO 10g SFP+ – ASUS XG-C100F. I’ve attached a picture of the PCIe slot I intended to use. I understand that the M.2 slot is disabled once the Samsung M.2 is installed (the ultimate goal is to relocate it). Do anyone have suggestions on how to achieve clearance or if there are options to reduce the PCIe slot? I’m open to any ideas. Thanks in advance.

The best option for extra clearance is switching to another cooler or using a PCIe riser to relocate the card. Using the 10G card in the standard slot is unlikely to succeed and could restrict performance significantly.

It might cost a bit more than buying a new graphics card and case, but you can still refresh your GPU's performance: Alphacool launches Eiswolf 2 AiO for RTX 4080/4090 and RX 7900XT/XTX models | TechPowerUp Eiswolf 2 GPU AiO für RTX 4080 Suprim | Alphacool

unfortunately you'll need to either install your GPU directly (if supported) or purchase a replacement cooler.

I hadn’t considered using that 1x port. I managed to bring in a PCIe riser, but it ended up being only 15cm long. I’ve never attempted watercooling a GPU and I’m really hesitant, especially with those budget 40-series chips. My setup is a NZXT H9 which supports vertical mounting, but the issue is the network card—since my GPU needs three slots, there’s no room left for the network card.

Have you considered placing the SFP+ card vertically? Checking availability for space.

I considered mounting the SFP+ vertically at first, but my setup doesn’t support it well. The first PCIe slot is positioned too high because of my motherboard, leaving only three slots at the bottom. If a vertical PCIe solution existed for three slots would be great. I also have a riser similar to the one you mentioned, but the current layout and the 2–3 mm clearance make it difficult to use the GPU.
