I recently upgraded my GPU from a 3050 to a 4080 and moved it to another room. When I tried to turn it on without a monitor, everything functioned normally—colors appeared, fans ran, and everything worked. After turning it off and unplugging the power cable, I transported the PC to my gaming room. Now, whenever I switch on the power supply without pressing the power button, the GPU flickers erratically, resembling a loose connection or something else. I’m also unable to boot up the system, leaving me stuck in this unstable state. The card also doesn’t respond at all. So I’ve decided to go with a major upgrade and ordered a 13700K, 360 Galahad V2 SL-Inf, MAG Z790 Tomahawk DDR4 Wi-Fi and HX1000i. All components are scheduled to arrive on Friday. The KFA2 SG 4080 has two connectors: a mini 4-pin for Argb and a mini 5-pin for the clip-on fan power. The card came with an adapter for 5V3pin Argb from the motherboard to two mini 4-pin Argb connections for the GPU and the GPU stand, which also houses the RGB lighting (though I’m not sure what “RGB” refers to). My mistake was assuming both mini 4-pin Argb connectors would work for the GPU. When I powered it on, I realized the second connector is a 5-pin power output and not meant for Argb input. I thought I could use both mini 4-pin Argb adapters, but that might have caused damage to the mainboard or GPU. Please advise if this setup could have harmed your system.

I wouldn't have a certain answer. I'd test using the updated power supply and make sure all connections are correct. If it fails or keeps acting strangely, it could be harmed. Wishing you good fortune and hoping everything works out.

Refers to the mainboard or the GPU as described by "it".
