Hello, I just reinstalled Windows with a fresh setup. Every time I open the Settings, my brightness increases automatically, but there’s no brightness adjustment option available. I’m unable to change it manually. Could you check if any updates are pending or if there’s a different method to control brightness?

I’m assuming it’s a laptop. Please verify all the drivers are set up.

I5 9600K, RTX 2070, Z390-A M.II board, Windows 10 Pro. Windows still not on yet—could this be the issue?

It seems your display shows high brightness when you access settings. To distinguish between backlight and gamma settings, check the specific display calibration tools or manufacturer guides for your device.

Certainly gamma /contrast means adjusting the brightness difference between light and dark areas.

Thank you for waiting. I set up the NVIDIA Control Panel, as I mentioned I just reinstalled Windows, but this problem keeps occurring whenever I open Windows Settings or the App Store.

I only changed what I thought were necessary, like turning off automatic updates, adding NVIDIA Control Panel, installing some apps, removing the Xbox Game Bar, and updating network drivers.
