Brief frame rate fluctuations experienced across multiple games.
Brief frame rate fluctuations experienced across multiple games.
Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing an issue with numerous video games. While my frame rates are generally high, I’m consistently encountering brief drops in performance across a variety of titles. Specifically, games like Assassin's Creed Origins and Odyssey, along with Rainbow Six Siege (where the effect is less noticeable), are particularly problematic. This inconsistency significantly detracts from my enjoyment of gaming. I’ve created a video showcasing this issue and conducted tests on three games:

The visuals from the video clearly illustrate the problem. I’ve focused on detailed analysis through several zoomed-in views.
I would greatly appreciate assistance in resolving this concern.
My system specifications:
i7 6700k
GTX 1070
2x8GB HyperX Fury 2133Mhz
Sincerely,
Felix
P.S. Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins were obtained through unofficial means.
Hello everyone,
I'm experiencing an issue with numerous games I play. While my frame rates are generally stable, I frequently encounter brief drops in performance across various titles. Specifically, games like Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey, as well as Rainbow Six Siege, exhibit this problem—though it's less noticeable in the latter. This inconsistency significantly detracts from my enjoyment of gaming. I’ve created a video documenting this issue and tested it on three games:

The visuals clearly illustrate the problem’s nature, with close-ups of the dips in performance.
I would greatly appreciate assistance in resolving this problem.
Here are my system specifications:
* i7 6700k Processor
* GTX 1070 Graphics Card
* 2x8GB HyperX Fury RAM at 2133MHz
Sincerely,
Felix
P.S. My Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins games are pirated copies. It's possible that this is the cause, though your RAM speed might also be a contributing factor.
Hello everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with numerous games I play. While my frame rates are generally stable, I frequently encounter sudden dips in performance within various titles. Specifically, games like Assassin’s Creed Origins and Odyssey, as well as Rainbow Six Siege, don't seem to present significant problems. However, these intermittent drops are frustrating and detract from my overall enjoyment of gaming. I’ve created a video demonstrating this issue and tested it on three separate games:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=079Wxc6Z...e=youtu.be
The visuals in the video clearly illustrate my challenge. I’ve zoomed in on specific areas to highlight the problem more effectively.
I would greatly appreciate any assistance you can provide in resolving this issue.
Here are the specifications of my system:
i7 6700k
GTX 1070
2x8GB HyperX Fury 2133Mhz
P.S. My Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and Origins games are pirated copies. It's possible this is contributing to the problem, though I suspect my RAM speed may also play a role. Have you actually viewed the video? My concern isn’t about low frame rates, but rather about these sporadic fluctuations or pauses in gameplay.
Greetings, everyone.
I'm encountering an issue with numerous games I play. My frame rate consistently performs well, but I regularly experience sudden dips in performance during gameplay. Specifically, titles like Assassin's Creed: Origins and Odyssey, as well as Rainbow Six Siege, exhibit this problem—though it’s less noticeable in the latter. This inconsistency significantly detracts from my enjoyment of gaming. I've created a video documenting this issue and tested it across three games:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=079Wxc6Z...e=youtu.be
The visuals from the video clearly illustrate my situation. I’ve magnified specific sections to highlight the problem more closely.
I would greatly appreciate assistance in resolving this concern.
Here are my system specifications:
i7 6700k
GTX 1070
2x8GB HyperX Fury 2133Mhz
P.S. Assassin's Creed Odyssey and Origins are both pirated copies of the games. While this may be a contributing factor, your RAM speed is somewhat slow, potentially playing a role as well. Have you actually viewed the video? My problem isn’t simply low frame rates—it's intermittent drops or stutters in performance, even though my overall frame rate is acceptable.
No. Can you provide your temperatures? It’s possible that the system is overheating and throttling performance.
The weather is pleasant. Temperatures are consistently below 70 degrees Celsius.
It’s pleasing to observe that many users are tracking their processor and graphics card activity. Observing your system, we notice instances of CPU limitations occurring repeatedly. When a single or multiple processor cores reach their maximum capacity, it will negatively impact your frame times, leading to noticeable pauses. A straightforward solution involves decreasing the target frame rate or adjusting graphics settings to reduce the strain on your CPU. Alternatively, you could overclock your processor to enhance its performance.
Thank you for your response. My inquiry concerns a performance limitation I’m experiencing, considering my system configuration – a 700W power supply supporting a Ryzen 7 5300G, which is ample for a GeForce GTX 1070. I’ve observed similar benchmark videos utilizing the same hardware setup without encountering this issue. Furthermore, my motherboard lacks the capability to enable CPU overclocking; therefore, I’m wondering if there are alternative methods for achieving performance enhancement with my processor.
What’s causing your performance limitation? Virtually every system experiences a bottleneck! Typically, you desire the graphics card to be the limiting factor, as CPU bottlenecks can lead to jerky gameplay. Certain games require more processing power from the central processor than from the graphics card. Consequently, even with a powerful CPU like an i9 9900k, it might not consistently keep pace with a 1070 – especially when using excessively demanding settings at a low resolution, such as 480p with reduced quality options.
Serinox:
Why are you experiencing limitations? Every system has a constraint! Generally, you want the graphics card to be the limiting factor because processing bottlenecks can lead to choppy gameplay.
Certain games require more processing power from the CPU than they do from the GPU. Therefore, even with a strong processor like an i9 9900k paired with a 1070, it frequently won't be sufficient.
An i9 9900k could certainly become a constraint for that GPU if you use excessively low settings, such as playing at 480p with reduced visual quality.
Could the GPU actually be the issue? I wouldn't be thrilled about this, but is it possible that it’s responsible for the problem? My benchmark results indicated superior performance compared to the typical average, but I'm uncertain.
