BOTTLENECK ISSUE
What impact do you anticipate an I5 3570 having with a GTX 1080 when gaming at 1080p, and what challenges could arise when running current games?
occasion may see a dip in fps, but a 4core i5 with GTX 1060 works well for most 1080p games
You won't experience the 1080 at its best. Often, you'll face significant CPU constraints and occasional lag in recent AAA games.
this is just nonsense...
i own a 3570k and 4790k, paired with an 8700k and a 970gtx which is almost the same as a 1060, actually quicker than a 1060 with 3gb. the performance gains are minor, they exist, but in 1080p it doesn't count. a 1080 on a 3570 will make everything run smoothly... YES you'll miss some frames compared to a faster processor in certain games, but it's still a decent setup.
extremely one-sided content.
- relying solely on just one title (particularly from Ubisoft)
- GTX 1080 is significantly quicker than a 970, about 3 to 4 times faster
he mentioned the 1060 in his response.
Yes, we should consider Battlefield V with all its features.
An I5 3570K isn’t as powerful as an OC against an 8700K, but it’s about 20% more than that and runs at around 120fps compared to maybe 150fps.
On paper it’s a big difference, but he’s still within the acceptable range for good 1080p gaming.
If I had a 3570K and someone gave me a cheaper 1080, I’d be grateful, and I’d build a really strong gaming rig.
i'm using a 4k display, so i want maximum power, which is why i'm running a 8700k and a 1080ti. it's almost not enough, but the difference between the 8700k and my old 4790k didn't affect me as much as i expected.
