I recently restored Kingdom Come: Deliverence after the trailer for the sequel was released and experimented with its performance settings. What I see online suggests improvements in fullscreen mode and better handling of low cutscene framerates. However, I notice my experience is much smoother in borderless mode (about 40 fps difference between Rattay and 90-110). The trade-off is that fixes for stuttering 15 fps cutscenes often depend on using fullscreen. People are curious about what’s happening with performance changes across windowed, borderless, and fullscreen options. It’s clear KCD isn’t optimized well, but I’m still puzzled by the situation.
