Borderlands Enhanced (Steam) at 15 frames per second
I have an i9 9900k and a 3080 build with Windows 11 and two 4K 60Hz TVs. I'm playing Borderlands in 4K using different settings—windowed, borderless, full screen. The issue is that the resolution stays at 24fps even when I want 60fps, which seems like a visual problem. I've optimized all games for GPU performance and checked each one individually to get the best frame rate. Occasionally, around Firestone, FPS drops to 15-30, especially during the Rakk mission where it fell to about 5. My system runs smoothly for most games except Maneater, which had occasional lag spikes. I’m curious why this happens regardless of Vsync or whether I run the game in lower resolutions.
With newer hardware, older systems may face limited compatibility. It's unclear the platform or software it uses—possibly DirectX 9 or similar. The updated version might be outdated, possibly an old game. Consider skipping the video and adjusting your graphics card settings via the NVIDIA control panel directly. This approach avoids auto-registration problems and ensures proper configuration.
