TL;DR - The security issues appear significantly worse on the Epic Games Store compared to Steam or other platforms. What concerns me is how this affects the safety of users and the future of Borderlands 3 within its community. I’ve noticed my own account being targeted with login attempts, which has made me anxious about the overall state of security for the store. While double authentication is available on many sites, it shouldn’t be a requirement to protect accounts from being compromised. Many friends have shared similar experiences with suspicious emails. The difference in security between the Epic Games Store and Steam seems to be a major factor, potentially harming the community more than past issues. I’m worried that strong resistance or negative sentiment toward EGS could further discourage players. Meanwhile, I’m unsure about the effectiveness of bug reporting in the store, especially since I haven’t used it recently. This uncertainty affects how much players can improve the game and share their feedback. Finally, I’m curious about how long it will take for the Epic Games Store to enhance its user experience enough to compete with Steam in a more player-friendly way.

I wouldn't be overly concerned about any of your worries. Epic Games is working to enhance the security of its store over time. I believe this effort is already underway. Regarding its impact on the Borderlands 3 community, I don't expect a significant change. Fortnite remains extremely popular, possibly even the highest on PC at the moment. I'm certain many players who engaged with Borderlands also played Fortnite. I also believe the Epic Games store could help indie games that struggle to gain visibility on Steam because of overcrowding.
