BootMGR isn't found during external HDD startup.
I installed Windows 7 on my portable HDD. When I choose the USB device and attempt to boot from BIOS, it displays that the bootmgr is missing. The instructions I followed came from part 2 of the provided link, and I didn’t use part 1. I need guidance to resolve this issue.
Usually you can't start Windows from an external HDD, even though the installer says it's possible. You'll likely need to follow Part 1, depending on what works. NOTE: This might only work with USB drives; eSATA could be an option since it appears similar to standard SATA.
