Bootloop RX 3060 paired with Ryzen 7 5700X
Hello! Here’s a revised version of your message:
Hi! Info: Graphics card is RX 570 RS XXX Edition with 8GB GDDR5, CPU is Ryzen 3 3100 at 3.6 GHz, Motherboard is Asrock B450M Pro4 R2.0, RAM is Patriot Viper 4 DDR4 8GB at 3000MHz, Power supply is Thermaltake Smart RGB 500W, GPU is Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Eagle OC with 12GB GDDR6, Processor is Ryzen 7 5700X at 3.4 GHz, and RAM is Lexar Thor DDR4 16GB at 3200MHz.
I recently upgraded my PC by swapping out the processor and GPU, and everything functioned properly after updating all drivers. I played some games, monitored temperatures to check for overheating, and everything seemed normal. After about four hours, I noticed CPU-Z reported low RAM speeds. I restarted and adjusted the BIOS settings, increasing the DRAM voltage from 1.2 to 1.3. Once out of BIOS, I watched a few YouTube videos and launched Apex Legends. Around five minutes later, my PC displayed a blue screen error: "Kernel Security Check Failure." I tried restarting, but the issue continued. The PC entered a constant boot loop without the fans spinning, only briefly turning on for about 15 seconds before shutting down. After unplugging the power supply and testing each RAM stick separately, it still didn’t work. I removed the battery, held the power button for 15 seconds, and left it on for roughly ten minutes. Then all fans started working—CPU, GPU, and both intake/exhaust fans. However, the boot loop problem remained.
I also tried removing the GPU and attempting to isolate the CPU, replacing everything fresh, re-flashing CMOS, and even handling the motherboard carefully with antistatic foil. None of these solutions resolved the issue.
I’m really struggling right now—no diagnostic speaker or LED indicators. Any suggestions before I take it to a repair shop? I suspect the power supply might be the culprit, though it seems to fail after just a few hours of use.
