Hello, I had a power interruption while using my PC, which made it shut down and restart several times. After power was restored, I tried booting up again but encountered a black screen displaying a "-" in the top left corner. Once I restarted, it displayed a blue error message indicating Windows loading issues. Unfortunately, the problem persisted because my keyboard and mouse stopped functioning. I then decided to reset the CMOS and enabled XMP settings. This process got me back into the system, though applications loaded much slower than usual. I ran the System File Checker (sfc) and DISM tools, and verified RAM usage to confirm there were no damage issues. I also checked the SSD speeds via Command Prompt, which showed they were close to the advertised rates but slightly below. The most noticeable change was the boot time—previously under 5 seconds, now taking about 30 seconds, with a significant delay before the main screen appeared. The computer still feels somewhat slow. I would consider performing a system restore to a state before the power failure occurred. Additionally, it would be beneficial to back up all mission-critical data from your drive, create a bootable USB installer, and reinstall the operating system.
This seems to indicate the drive is not functioning properly. Disconnect the drives and attempt to boot directly into the BIOS to confirm the rest of your system is operational.
If accessing the BIOS remains impossible, consider replacing the CMOS battery; otherwise, a new motherboard might be necessary.
