Hello, welcome to Linux! You're set up with a dual boot of Mint 22 and Windows 11. The Nvidia drivers aren't working because secure boot is blocking them. You've tried disabling validation with `mokutil --disable-validation`, but that didn’t help. Your main goal is to allow secure boot for Linux while keeping it enabled for Windows. Let me know if you'd like guidance on adjusting the settings or checking configurations.
Consider ways to run Linux drivers securely on a system with active secure boot.
They’re not suggesting any alternative besides using one of the signed drivers from synaptic or the driver manager. All options should function properly as long as secure boot is active. I don’t recall checking recently, but it seems up to version 550 works well with the 4090.
I recall encountering problems with one of the drivers following a kernel update; I had to change versions instead of sticking to recommendations. Have you attempted manually enrolling the secure boot key? It should handle that automatically. Just ensure this is done after a BIOS update. From the terminal: sudo update-secureboot-policy --enroll-key Reboot, enroll the key. If it fails, consider switching drivers altogether. It should resolve the issue. I'm using secure boot with Nvidia and Mint across several machines.
Here are the guidelines for joining Fedora Linux. Many of these apply to similar distributions as well. https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/qui...nrollment/
