Boot issue
Boot issue
Hello, The Problem: My system is experiencing difficulties starting and appears to freeze when the motherboard splash screen appears. It seems to either stall or refuse keyboard input. Once completely powered off before pressing start, I can access BIOS but cannot boot from a bootable USB or installer. Using Rufus created an installation media before, which should function properly. Every restart—whether via BIOS or the reset button—gets stuck at the splash screen and keeps failing to boot. Recent actions: removed all non-essential components except keyboard, mouse, RAM stick, CPU fan, GPU, PSU, and my drive. After that, I updated the BIOS but it didn’t help. Tried resetting CMOS by removing the battery or clearing it through motherboard pins, but no improvement. My hardware specs are listed, including a Gigabyte X570 AORUS ELITE with firmware f37a, AMD Ryzen 3700X, Crucial RAM, a Radeon RX 580, and a Corsair RM1000 AIO with MSI Coreliquid SSD. I’ve also switched to a new case (Corsair 4000D) and recently moved the system. Any advice would be appreciated.
I located the problem—it was my M.2 drive (WD Black SN750 1TB). I don’t know why or how, because it’s under a year old, and I only connected it when I installed my games.
