Hello, it seems your Gigabyte Aorus Pro X X670E board is not working properly. I installed it about 30 days ago and recently adjusted some memory settings. After saving and restarting, the system failed immediately. Once I powered it back on, there was no activity on the motherboard and it stayed off. Only the CPU debug light is active, along with spinning fans but no other RGB indicators. I've tried several troubleshooting steps: resetting CMOS, replacing the CMOS battery, removing and reinstalling the GPU, clearing the motherboard, testing RAM, and even using QFLASH with 2.0 USB and the latest BIOS file (gigabyte.bin). Still nothing. This is frustrating because it's the first time I've encountered such an issue with my previous Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Master board. Any suggestions would be helpful. I bought this on NewEgg US if you're curious. Here are the specs: Ryzen 7 7800X3D, Corsair H150i Elite Cappelix XT, 360mm AIO, G.SKILL Trident Z5 Neo Series 48GB (2x24), 6400MHz CL32, Gigabyte Aorus Pro X X670E, EVGA GT 1000W, Gold Modular.
Gigabyte's AM5 boards (some versions include BIOS updates) have an issue where the CMOS reset only functions when the power supply is off. If the PSU remains active or the capacitors haven't fully discharged, the reset won't work. I’d try it first before assuming the board is faulty and considering a return.
I've attempted to reset the CMOS after removing power, but it seems to be fully inactive. The ARGB fans aren't turning on at all.
