I purchased this board from eBay and after powering it on with a functional CPU, RAM, and GPU, it displays the boot code: "code init." What does this mean?

These boards weren't great even then. Nvidia and Intel chips were often seen as outdated when they first came out. I owned one that had a boot loop issue—had to restart for five minutes after a cold boot before it worked at all. Not worth it.

For a bios issue, you should consider replacing the relevant chip such as the memory controller or BIOS processor.

There are several possible chips that might be the BIOS chip, including around five options at the bottom.
