Yes, these methods are effective. Using a VPN can encrypt your connection and bypass regional restrictions, while adjusting DNS or changing your internet channel can improve routing efficiency. To implement: set up a VPN service, configure your router to use a different DNS server or channel, and test the speed improvements.

A VPN can slow down performance, it doesn't enhance speed unless your internet service provider is intentionally limiting certain sites or apps and a VPN helps you avoid that restriction. Regarding DNS, it improves the process of converting domain names to IP addresses, but it won't lower latency in gaming or boost download speeds significantly. It may make browsing feel a bit faster, though the impact remains minimal.

A VPN boosts speed only when your usual traffic route passes through a busy zone, and the VPN reroutes it around it. Adjusting your DNS settings mainly improves how quickly a website loads, possibly by a few seconds, based on the performance of your regular DNS service.

They say we're competing with neighbors for the bandwidth. We should expect better priority, right?

Your internet service provider manages bandwidth allocation. You don't have control over this, even when using a VPN.
