I’m experiencing inconsistent performance on the red bread version. Below are benchmarks for the lowest settings. It remains choppy even with flip edit, running at 1920x1080. My specs show the game is installed on an HDD. Would you like to consider more RAM?

Upgrading to version 16 would ease stuttering and slightly improve FPS, though RDR2 remains highly GPU-intensive, limiting further gains.

The game data should reside on an SSD for optimal performance. RAGE especially appreciates ample RAM along with fast clock speeds and high IPC CPUs.

It requires more CPU power than GPU usage. Generally, RDR2 works better on processors with hyper-threading or SMT. Even a 2600K will give you a smoother run. According to Gamer's nexus benchmarks: 9900K 8C/16T delivers around 151.8 FPS on average, dropping slightly to 78.8 FPS with a 1% drop and 69.8 FPS at 0.1%. The 9700K 8C/8T averages 138.2 FPS, 32.9 FPS with a 1% drop and 6.5 FPS at 0.1%. Ryzen 5 2600 4GHz 6C/12T hits 109.3 FPS on average, 76.8 FPS with a 1% drop and 70.1 FPS at 0.1%. The 2600K 4C/8T averages 89.2 FPS, 59.8 FPS with a 1% drop and 53.8 FPS at 0.1%. The 7600K 4C/4T shows similar performance but is slightly better, averaging 68.7 FPS with a 12 FPS drop and 9.8 FPS at 0.1%. Notably, the 7600K often falls to just 12 FPS or lower during testing, highlighting its sensitivity to CPU limitations.

Having just four cores seems to be the main issue. Adding more RAM could assist a bit, though it wouldn't make a big difference.
