Your 7300HQ runs at 35W, yet Intel claims a TDP of 45W. The XTU has controls for Turbo Boost Power and Short Power, but they don’t seem to work. You can still boost performance by adjusting BIOS settings without risky modifications—just follow the official instructions. Increasing TDP usually improves performance, but it depends on your system’s cooling and stability. Modifying the BIOS involves accessing its setup menu, updating firmware, and saving changes properly.

The power limit in laptops is determined by the manufacturer. For the 7300HQ model, the upper limit is 45 watts, yet in your case the maker adjusted it to 35 watts, probably to suit their thermal design needs.

It seems the TDP was likely adjusted for the laptop’s cooling setup. Beyond that, you can only manually increase its speed if the device supports it.
