I got proposals from someone offering pre-built Lenovo Legion T5 26AMR5 units equipped with AMD Ryzen 5600G. They’re listing them without GPUs, likely purchased just to extract the GPUs. The spec sheet I linked shows no video output (HDMI or otherwise) on the motherboard. As a pre-built model, there’s limited documentation available. Would a USB-C to HDMI adapter make a difference in this configuration? It could be useful for non-GPU-heavy tasks or server applications. Do you have any experience with similar builds?

Lenovo offers that setup with the 5600G, but why would they offer it if the board lacks a video output for a Ryzen G graphics chip? The main benefit of Ryzen-G is its built-in graphics, so they should have selected the 5600X instead. Ask the seller for photos, particularly showing the motherboard connections. Hope this clarifies things!

It seems the motherboards lack video outputs, so you must rely on a dedicated video card. For servers or workstations needing a 2D output, consider older PCI-E video cards available on eBay. You can purchase inexpensive vintage PCI-E models and connect them via a riser cable or modified connector. Examples include AMD HD 4550, HD 5450, 5550, and 6450. There are also some OEM-only options that are even more affordable, though they’re harder to find. On Nvidia, you’ll find older Quadro cards like the GT 210 7.5$ with a DMS-59 connector (add ~$2-3 for adapters).
