Hi there, just starting this project for the first time. I have an old Foxconn motherboard from an Advent desktop, and I recently moved it onto my new GTX 1070 ti FE setup. The issue is that after installation, the system freezes on the splash screen, making it impossible to proceed. My previous GPU works perfectly, so I’m sure it’s the BIOS that’s the problem. I’m unsure which BIOS update to apply since the BIOS interface shows H61MXL/H61MXL-K instead of the expected version. I don’t want to risk damaging the board, as it’s important for my daily use. Any suggestions would be really helpful!

I also used a Dell am4+ board, but it doesn't support the latest cards.

I also have a Dell OptiPlex 8300 paired with a GTX 760. After installing the new graphics card, I still see the splash screen but nothing responds.
