Board rejects setting RAM speed above 2133MHz
Board rejects setting RAM speed above 2133MHz
This situation has been quite challenging to resolve. The motherboard appears to be limiting performance to 2133MHz regardless of the components I use. At first, I suspected the RAM was faulty, but switching kits didn’t help. The onboard indicator confirms a RAM issue. After several restarts, the speed reverts to 2133MHz. The manual states compatibility up to 2666MHz (non-OC) and 3200MHz (OC). I’ve used both Corsair Vengeance LPX and Pro at similar capacities and speeds. It’s unclear if the difference matters much, but neither model starts up properly. I’ve verified BIOS version 2901, updated firmware, and checked drivers. Swapped RAM slots and confirmed the QVL supports the Vengeance Pro kit. My guess is the problem lies with the motherboard itself, given the stated limits and my experience. Please advise if this aligns with your setup or suggest alternatives. Thank you for your assistance.
