nothing relevant to the matter, yet I can note from the first picture that a small piece of metal is peeling off the IO shield, and all the debris around seems to be insulation between the plate and the board (or at least that's what he claims). It looks like the port he was concerned about is likely the hotkey port.

I recommend cleaning the ports carefully. Suggested safe methods include using compressed air or a soft brush to remove debris without damaging the connections.
