Board damaged? Lights flash briefly before stopping completely when I disconnect the power supply.
Hello, I'm facing some trouble with my X299 motherboard. I set up an account just for this issue. Once I connected it to a power supply, the standby LEDs appeared briefly at the bottom left and a green light near the I/O, then everything stopped completely—no POST, no boot, no fans spinning, not even a single light on the case. It feels like the board is completely unresponsive. Except for the GPU, its red warning lights stay lit when you unplug the PCI-E cables (photo from Google shows the same issue but with brighter red). Aside from that, nothing draws power, though I thought the 5V should work. After a short PSU disconnect and reconnect, the same problem recurs. I've tried everything—switching PSUs, running the board with or without CPU, testing GPU, RAM, and battery—but nothing changes. I'm getting really frustrated. If anyone has any suggestions, I'd really appreciate it.
