Hey, I've been facing an issue with my motherboard—Gigabyte Z370 gaming 5. A few days back I changed the RGB settings using RGB Fusion 2.0, but noticed only the GPU color updated while the motherboard lights stayed the same. After reinstalling the app it didn’t help. I spent some time exploring options and eventually gave up, feeling frustrated. I powered off the PC and then turned it back on; the motherboard lights remained on. When I unplugged the PSU cable, the lights went out but came back when I plugged it back in. In the app or BIOS, only the GPU responds to changes. The motherboard stays lit regardless of whether the PC is on or off, and I can’t change the colors. I’ve tried everything: reinstalling the software, updating drivers, changing BIOS to F15, resetting to factory settings via Windows, but nothing worked. I’m not very technical and don’t know what else to do. It used to function perfectly until I attempted a software change. I reached out to Gigabyte support, but they seem uninterested and might take three days for a response—maybe try turning it off completely so it doesn’t light up at night? My specs are: Gigabyte Z370 Aorus gaming 5 (F15 BIOS), Gigabyte 1070ti 8GB, Intel i5-8600K, 4.7 GHz OC, 16GB Corsair 2133MHz RAM, 1TB SSD, Windows 10.
I have the same issue too—it's normal as long as the motherboard receives power. The power cord is connected to the PSU and the PSU isn't turned off, so it should light up. If the lights on the motherboard aren't changing in the app, try updating the BIOS; it might be outdated. You can check for a "sync devices" option there—it helped me identify my CPU fan and RAM. If that doesn’t work, inspect your headers, as something could be preventing it from functioning properly.
its not normal at least for me it used to work fine ( when i shut down all the lights were gone) for like 6 years, already updated the bios which didnt help, the app has sync devices button which seems to sync both gpu and mb in the app but when i change things it only affects gpu and mb is like frozen in the same state. Headers seem fine to me but i am no expert so mostly i dont know what im looking at when it comes to being fine or not.
