Hi, I see the issue with your microphone. Let me assist you. Have you checked the connection or settings? Also, ensure the phantom power is correctly set and try a different computer if possible.

Ensure you speak directly into the microphone, not towards the back. It's a one-way device. Remove the foam, shine a light at the grill and verify the membrane orientation—ideally facing you. If not, record from each side; the clearer one is the better choice. Avoid speaking from above. Keep the mic 2 to 5 centimeters away from your mouth (about 1 to 2 inches). Positioning it too far causes distortion. If these steps don’t work, try using the microphone without the V8 soundcard and connect it to your built-in audio to test recording.

Hi, thank you for reaching out. I understand the issue with the recording quality and the sound not sounding right. You mentioned trying a different mic without the sound card but still unsure about investing in an aux cable adapter to USB. What do you think would work best for improving your setup?

Ensure no phantom power is used for this setup, as it may affect the bm800's performance.

Thank you, I'll purchase the adapter so I can use it without the sound card.

XLR to 3.5mm jack setup. Owning BM700 and BM800, using Behringer PS400 Phantom Power, and linking to onboard Realtek audio. Worked with various soundcards but none matched the performance of the Realtek built-in units on my last four motherboards.
