Hi there, I'm trying to set up a PC with a Bluray drive and facing issues with Media Player. Do you have any recommendations for alternative solutions?

With an ASUS motherboard, you'll find the included software ready to go.

This depends on how you view "hassle." It works smoothly with rips, files, and ISOs, but you'll need to follow the guide if you're importing from a retail disc.

This would definitely be a hassle in my view. It’s frustrating that Blu-Ray programs need to be so expensive. If I could find a more affordable option for my TV, I wouldn’t mind paying for the software.

The minor adjustments made to that guide eliminated the necessity for expensive programs, making the "effort" worthwhile B)

PC Blu-ray playback is quite poor, making PowerDVD the top choice for a smooth experience. I still favor MakeMKV because it lets me convert everything and stream it to my media server, avoiding issues with forced trailers and copyright warnings.
