I own a USB Bluetooth 4.2 or older adapter and use it for my PS4 controller during games and sometimes my 5.0 compatible headphones. I’m considering upgrading to a Wi-Fi 6 + Bluetooth 5.0 module because when both devices connect together the input lag on the controller jumps noticeably. Using just USB would make things very unstable, especially with certain games, while Bluetooth offers a cleaner, wired-free experience. Would adding a Bluetooth 5.0 card reduce the input lag?

The Intel AX200 WiFi adapter supports Bluetooth 5 and WiFi 6. Any Bluetooth device should handle multiple connections smoothly. BT performs optimally nearby, with minimal interference. Avoid placing antennas behind your computer; front-mounted ones work better. I discovered this using my SFF PC—used USB extensions to align the dongles correctly. Also, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi traffic can hinder Bluetooth speed. If you’re not using 2.4GHz networks, disable the antenna at the router or reduce its power.
