I possess an Asus ROG Strix SCAR III G531GV with Bluetooth functionality, as expected. When attempting to link my wireless headphones through Bluetooth, the connection failed. I checked the Bluetooth settings and was prompted to enable it, but there was no corresponding button. I searched online for solutions and found a troubleshooter suggestion. Running the Windows Troubleshooter revealed issues such as "no bluetooth" or "device lacks Bluetooth." Despite having connected my headset previously, Microsoft Support advised installing drivers. They suggested using the Troubleshooter to scan for updates, but it reported having the latest drivers installed. They also recommended deleting the device in Device Manager, which I did. However, after removal, Windows failed to automatically install the drivers and Bluetooth disappeared from Device Manager entirely. I’m now completely puzzled and unsure how to restore Bluetooth functionality.

Have you explored the ASUS website to obtain and install the Bluetooth drivers for your laptop?

I found the Windows Troubleshooter frustrating. It offers little real value. I’ve heard countless tips from it—plug in, restart, switch on/off the screen, shake it a few times, and repeat pulling and inserting the cord over 3,000 times. This method hasn’t worked for me at all. I first encountered it as a child, when my computer knowledge was very limited. It seems aimed at seniors who have never used a computer before.
