Generally it doesn’t locate the device or pairing succeeds only about a quarter of the time. Turning off Bluetooth is fine—Xbox controller gone. I once assumed my built-in Bluetooth was faulty and purchased a dongle (link provided), but nothing changed. I silenced Bluetooth in BIOS and cleared remaining drivers. If everything is reset, it might point to a software issue rather than hardware failure. Mobo relies on Intel Bluetooth while the dongle uses Realtek. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

OK it seems to be interference but I don't know what. When I move the controller towards the case / motherboard it pairs automatically without issue. I did switch cases from Phanteks Primo to Phanteks Ethoo Pro 2 with tempered glass.

Discovered a detachable antenna hidden inside the casing that fixes the issue. -_-
