Bluetooth functions on Linux yet not on Windows.
Bluetooth suddenly vanished and I attempted various fixes—installing, removing, updating drivers—but nothing restored it. A Linux USB boot worked perfectly. After reinstalling Windows, it failed; using the Lenovo version didn’t help either. The device has Lenovo IDP Gaming 3-15ACH6 with wireless, CMB, FXN, and MT7921 M2 components.
Did you complete all chipset driver installations from the Lenovo support site? Even after applying updates via System Update, Lenovo Vantage, and Windows Update, some Lenovo devices still fail to install all required drivers. Visit the Lenovo Support page for your Ideapad Gaming and manually install every driver for your operating system. If this doesn’t resolve the issue, search for alternative "MediaTek MT7921 Wireless Lan for Windows" drivers from other Lenovo models and test them.
Additionally, my cousin uses the identical laptop and wireless card, but his Bluetooth stopped working too. It might be a software issue, even though updating an older driver didn’t seem to help.
Do you want to know if Lenovo supplied the recovery medium available on their site? It should include essential drivers already installed. To see if a driver update might have disabled Wi-Fi, open your device manager, go to "network adapters" or a similar section, double-click the Wireless, CMB, FXN, MT7921 M2 component, and look for the "driver" option. If it isn't grayed out, try using "previous driver." If that works, it likely points to a Lenovo component issue that usually gets resolved within a few days.
WiFi functions without issues, but Bluetooth isn't responding. I've removed both WiFi and Bluetooth, then reinstalled each separately and together. Both are using drivers from 2022. Installing from Lenovo doesn't help, and manually adding them via Device Manager doesn't resolve the problem—Bluetooth drivers stay grayed out.
I didn't resolve the issue, I attempted various solutions for myself and others, including Intel drivers and older versions, but none helped.
The biggest frustration is dealing with Lenovo Support—it's almost nonexistent. You're limited to chatting with their chatbot or making a call, but calling them often leads them to push you toward buying another laptop. Recently, I faced a fan issue; even under warranty they didn’t assist or help at all, so I had to take it to a third-party repair shop.
