Well, I haven’t come across anything like this before. It’s unlikely you’d be able to upgrade to Windows 10.

If you decided to switch to Windows 10, I think it would resolve the issue since a fresh installation would bring everything current. Remember, the team at Mickeysoft no longer provides updates for Windows 7.
