I frequently encounter a blue screen when using the ROG XMP auto overclock feature. The system starts normally but crashes during benchmarking. I've also tested other built-in profiles, which consistently produce the same issue. A CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT appears with the blue screen. It seems the main concern is whether overclocking the GPU would resolve this problem. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Just to make sure this is clear: I assume your computer works well without any changes, except for blue screens when you try to overclock.
If that’s the case, then if you can’t achieve what you need at stock settings on your system, it might be worth spending some time learning how to set up a stable overclock manually.
This isn’t the kind of advice I expected, but it seems there’s really no other option unless you’re willing to invest in new components.

CrazyDingo :
If you can't do this at stock on your rig then I think you need to take the time to carefully research how to get a stable overclock manually on your machine. Not what you wanted to hear I'm sure but there's really no other way around, unless you want to fork out for new parts.
Thanks for the input. It was doing just fine with Fortnite and Battlefield and then I started playing BO4 and the game stutters like crazy. I agree my rig should be able to handle this just fine that's why I built it this way. I guess I'll keep researching the OC problem. Thank you.
