People have mixed opinions about adding Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 to Blizzard Battle.net. The positives include using Blizzard Balance for payments, no extra Activision launcher required, and a new cross-game chat feature that lets players whisper with friends from other games like WoW, Hearthstone, etc.—which is quite a nice addition! On the downsides, some note higher gold prices for WoW tokens when the announcement came, the game's presence on Blizzard Battle net felt unusual since it wasn't developed by Blizzard, there’s no filter option to hide publishers or games, and the release only on Blizzard raises concerns about availability. The decision to publish on Steam versus Battle.net is also questioned, especially given recent server issues. Overall, I support the idea but wish for more transparency and flexibility.

It's strange how Activision Blizzard is dropping a title onto their storefront, knowing they’ll earn more by skipping the Steam cut. The reactions from fans on the forums have been quite entertaining. Who would have thought that a simple game icon could stir such strong feelings?

They’re definitely increasing their earnings this route, which should provide solid revenue for the game and other Activision Blizzard titles. I personally disliked the change because when they first mentioned it, my login experience on battle.net failed completely. Now I’m more open to cross-game communication, especially since chat in games is much better than Steam’s outdated interface. (Discord feels like a much improved option.) For text-based conversations, it’s reassuring that it will work across both Activision and Blizzard platforms.
