System 7900x3d eco 120w 64gb ram 5600 4090 vertical 1050 psu gold 420 aio corsair featuring lcd multiple ssd nvme hdd connected directly and via pcie cards. My biggest issue is this: during gaming and streaming, my PC suddenly blacks out and then restarts into BIOS. The aio fans increase, but the system won’t boot into Windows. It always boots into BIOS. After powering off and letting it sit for a minute, I reboot and enter Windows. What I observe is: Windows doesn’t show any details beyond an unexpected shutdown or a CRASH report. The CPU core performance seems normal, but the liquid temperature was 41°C during the hard crash (visible via the LCD).

Remove the riser cable and attempt the card directly.

Are you discussing the latest driver problem? I went back to version 566 a few days ago for safety. Also, the CPU fans are getting louder, not the GPU.

I have taken a picture of the system (I already removed the GPU since I want to examine the CPU pins if there is any burned damage that was known some years ago on an AM5 board)

PCs can experience black screens due to overheating in the chipset or CPU. It's relatively common for the CPU to not be functioning properly relative to the GPU. A hot NVMe boot drive might indeed cause a black screen during reboot, depending on the system configuration.

He mentions inserting the GPU straight into the slot, avoiding the riser cable.

Apologies for the delayed response. The problem continued after removing the GPU (using IGUPU), so I removed the CPU now. I’ll wait to get more details.
