You and your friend are experiencing frequent connection problems with Black Ops Zombies. Sometimes you can't connect, then suddenly you're in a game only to lose access again shortly after. On one end, your computer shows "Not enough players" while on the other, it says "Black ops servers not currently available." Despite both being on wired connections, the issue seems tied to network settings and router access. Since you have full port forwarding and he doesn’t, check his router settings—especially player limits and server availability. If the game supports a stable local connection, try switching to a different network or contacting the game’s support for help with your specific setup.

The COD made by Treyarch is barely functional on a low-end PC. Many players face connection issues in Black Ops Zombies. Treyarch seems indifferent about fixing it. It’s time to create a new version so they can satisfy their Activision bosses and earn more money.

I've found more success with Treyarch on PC compared to other platforms. Regarding the questioner: you don't have to take any special steps to get it running—just send him an invitation via Steam.

It seems the game has significant issues with multiplayer functionality. Our connection drops after just a few minutes, and it’s unclear what’s happening on the other side. This might be more than just a minor technical glitch—could be a bigger problem affecting performance. We’re both capable of playing smoothly over wired connections, so maybe the issue lies elsewhere?

Do you run a dedicated server or a listening server?
