Now that Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 has launched, it’s no wonder interest has moved toward other titles in the same genre. With this latest shooter introducing a Battle Royale format for the first time, it makes sense that attention has shifted elsewhere temporarily. As of this article, here’s how the Battle Royale landscape is shaping up on Twitch: Fortnite remains the dominant force since Epic Games introduced its free-to-play mode, consistently breaking records. Even though Black Ops has taken its place, we’re eager to see more options in this style. For those new to Blackout, Treyarch presents it as “the Black Ops universe unfolds in a colossal battle royale, merging signature Black Ops tactics with the expansive map history of Call of Duty.” Much like other Battle Royale experiences, players quickly find themselves on the map, scrambling for quality equipment. Prepare, advance swiftly, and stay alive! This is the essence of Blackout, and the new mode has received favorable feedback since its beta phase. Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is now accessible on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC. For details about the game before diving into the lobby, here’s what you need to know: “Black Ops returns! Offering intense, realistic multiplayer action, the most expansive zombie campaign ever with three full undead missions at launch, plus Blackout—where the entire Black Ops world comes alive in a massive battle royale, featuring iconic characters, settings, and weapons from the entire series.”

Was it actually happening? Well, it seems like all major streamers are participating right now since a new release was announced today.

I prefer watching BO4 mainly because I've always thought FN's style feels too juvenile, but I understand how it might attract a broad audience. I really hope it loses its top spot someday. To be honest, I'm getting a bit worn out from seeing FN everywhere at the store or online.

the situation seems to hinge on an unspoken rule for measuring "destroyed." joking aside, it’s unlikely there’s a strict formula—just quick assessments. i’d skip even a week, since the game launched so fast and the hype is intense. the only real clue is that tomorrow the numbers might drop in half, and by next Wednesday fortnite could easily surpass call of noobie.

Not destroyed? Actually, I notice players from the market moving to COD when they have good enough gear, since people who grew up with COD still enjoy it.

The main issue is understanding why LOL remains the top choice.

You might be surprised by how much wiser the CoD crowd is. It’s because you pay for the game, and it’s also because CoD was once famous for attracting younger players around 2009, but those young fans have since grown up.

In reality, the blackout seems more exciting than Fortnite once I watched the professional players. I’ve quit playing now. These kids are way better at building, jumping, and shooting compared to me. 360 no scope headshots—welcome back!

No one was really taken aback. Major AAA titles always attract huge audiences on Twitch. Streamers typically earn money through sponsorships, which benefits developers and publishers. I haven’t used Twitch much recently, but it didn’t behave differently with RB6:Siege either. Why is Assasins Creed still ranked high? Who enjoys watching solo games there?
