Are you kidding me? The main map is really terrible, but the DLCs are decent. Still, those expensive packs push you to spend way too much.
The game is still alive. Those who don't enjoy it will say that. I actually stopped playing for a month because I was getting frustrated and needed to calm down. Team deathmatch can become monotonous. Everyone prefers a combine—everything in one map gets chosen. Objective games work better with friends. Taking control feels more exciting. The parts I don't like, the specialists and their skills, seem like an added perk. I just prefer it to be standard. They have certain weapons that are incredibly powerful. It's all about the shotgun, sniper, and LMG styles.
Many folks are enjoying it on consoles, while PC play is still limited. Early problems seemed to exist, but the game remains popular. I suggest using a 4K60 setup.
With Combine, it was a bug that people were able to infinitely able to vote for previous maps. That's been fixed and a lot of the OP stuff has now been fixed. My best recommendation is to play with friends. You're more likely to have more fun with friends, than to be sweating by yourself (or having competitions with your friends haha). That's just my recommendation...try it! I find that I have more fun using really stupid weapons and seeing who can get the most kills with those stupid weapons. Just try not to use the vesper
