You're using a 3570k graphics card with 8GB RAM and a GTX 770. To achieve smooth performance, you're currently running at 720p on medium settings. For better stability, aim for 1080p at medium settings—your setup already supports it but feels a bit laggy. Your 144Hz monitor is working well, so limiting FPS to 143 helps reduce strain. Consider upgrading to a higher refresh rate or checking if your GPU can handle 1080p smoothly under those conditions.

@Jerakl @FaZeBooce Only friends I understand who have Black Ops 3 for PC (Plus @dschutt84 please keep following your topics). Are your parts getting too warm? The game would perform better then.

I enjoy high settings at 4K resolution. My frame rate usually stays around 45-60 FPS, though it can drop into the 20s sometimes. It would be great if Treyarch improved their optimization work. This game is quite memory-heavy, so a GPU upgrade and possibly more RAM might help. I don’t think my CPU is the problem, but you could try overclocking if you’d like to explore that option.

Black Ops 3 on PC seems problematic, similar to issues with COD ghosts.

I'm using an i5 6400 with a GTX 970, and I'm mostly keeping it at native resolution and maximum settings. It's smoothing out for me, but FPS drops when the game itself is struggling. There are memory leaks showing up, and you can see it's using nearly all CPU power, which causes stuttering. After updating the latest patch, performance improves a bit, though FPS still fluctuates.

The game continues to have a memory issue, and I’m unable to run it at higher resolutions than 1080p on my GTX 770 (2GB).

That makes sense. I've noticed people who handle high-end systems easily often rely on more powerful hardware like the 980 series, not just the latest versions.

I tested the game at 480 frames per second using a GTX980ti, which should help see if the updates make a difference.

I used a program that resolved the stuttering issue. Others might be experiencing similar problems, so I can help with a fix. My system runs a 780 and uses about 4-7GB of memory. The 770 version should work without issues.
