I've assembled computers for thirty years and this never happened before. Perhaps it's a typical problem, but I want to share it so you don't get confused. I own an early Ryzen 5600X (a big upgrade from my 3700K). I built it with a Gigabyte Aurus Elite and a second-hand Radeon 2080 Ti. When I first turned it on, all the fans spun at full speed, no sound, and the screen went black. I assumed something was wrong. I did all the standard checks—replaced RAM, GPU, PSU (no spare Ryzen to test). After two hours, I gave up. My thought was the motherboard was dead. Wrong! Actually, it was the BIOS version. I loaded USB, updated the board, and everything worked fine! Why did I waste so much time on that? The issue wasn't with the BIOS even though the firmware wasn't compatible with my CPU. This 5800X, 5900X, and 5950X will have the same problem. Thanks for your understanding. Sorry for the English.
You must install a BIOS upgrade to work with the latest processors. The motherboard isn’t aware of the CPU until you modify its BIOS settings, which prevents it from booting or accessing the UEFI.
It's similar to requesting Windows XP to understand USB 3 without a driver update.
