My bios has been updated several times recently, and the most recent versions include Bitlocker for security. I observed that when I changed the bios to the latest this past week, both Secure Boot and Bitlocker prompted me to enter my code for Windows. However, after a few boot cycles later, it asked for it again. It’s quite frustrating with these updates. Fortunately, my phone could still access my code, or my computer would have been locked out. Anyone else find Bitlocker difficult?

Yes, Bitlocker is quite challenging, as its keys are stored in TPM. At home, having a Microsoft account allows you to get back the keys. Those "security reasons" exist because there are alternative methods to safeguard files.

Since i disabled Bitlocker after OS install, it doesn't give me a headache.
But overall, Bitlocker alone can reduce your SSD (OS drive) performance up to 40-60%, not to mention putting additional load on CPU. So, waste of PC compute power.
For protection of my files, i have them copy/pasted onto several different drives. Both live/powered and offline storage.

I work in IT and it's become a real hassle. The issue is that it occurs differently for various users and only during certain updates. For those whose system isn't included in the enterprise ID, we can't provide their recovery code, making it difficult for them to locate it on their own—like searching for a rusty needle with a broken scanner.
