It becomes odd and dreamlike at the end. The most unsettling part is that songbird or that massive robot bird. I think the big machines feel a bit eerie, but they’re not common and their impact fades quickly once you see they’re just empty shells. It’s less frightening than Doom 3. In short, you can dim the lights on a dark night and still enjoy the experience.

I believe I’m okay with the Songbird. I checked an image and it seems to be a more elaborate take on Clockwerk from Sly Cooper.

It isn't especially frightening, and I'm not too concerned since I tend to be a bit cautious. But honestly, the game isn't great, so I think it doesn't really matter whether it's scary or not. Play better ones next time.

I’m unsure if it’s something you’d be comfortable with since I don’t know you personally. Neither Dishonored nor Bioshock Infinite are designed to frighten you like a true horror title. Both are aimed at mature audiences and contain some dark or intense scenes, but I don’t see anything that immediately grabs attention for shock value. I’d mention that the character in the chair with a bag could be a concern for you, as Infinite features more of that kind of scenario. The game tends to be quite violent overall.

It’s not as intense as FNAF or Slender. It features subtle unsettling elements and atmospheric sounds. In one of the final boss fights it can quicken your pulse, especially when you rely on stealth. Toward the end of the game it includes some intense blood and gore moments. As a shooter, you often engage enemies with different damage types; plus there are story-driven scenes like the lighthouse introduction and gunsmith quest. Be careful: using Possession Vigor at vending machines in crowded areas might alert nearby people and draw attention, even if you’re using a powerful weapon.

It can sometimes feel odd and perplexing. The only truly frightening moment was a single jump scare around the middle of the game. The game also features many eerie and mysterious symbols, making it more atmospheric than outright scary.

In general it feels safe, with just a single impressive jump scare. It's a solid game worth spending time on, plus it's super affordable.

As someone prone to sudden frights, the game includes some tense scenes, though they don’t feel truly frightening.
