I bought a Rog Maximus Z790 Hero recently and installed it today. When I turned on the PC, I encountered a d6 error. This issue seems linked to the GPU, so I read about using a BIOS flash. After the blue light started blinking, it stabilized and has remained steady for more than two hours now. I’m very cautious because I fear damaging the motherboard during a BIOS update. Someone mentioned that a steady blue light indicates completion, but others said it would turn off. I need help right away.

If applicable, consider the ASUS Maximus Z790 Hero paired with an i9 13900K, 64GB Corsair Vengeance 5200MHz RAM, RTX 3060 graphics, 1200W EVGA power supply.

Currently, there are limited choices available. The procedure may be stuck and won't improve with more time, or it might already be completed after two hours—just press the power button. You'll have to move forward and give it a shot.

Unless you're making extreme jokes and getting bad luck, you'll likely damage the board. With a BIOS programmer, fixing it would be easy and quick. If it turns out to be a brick, just replace it. This isn't acceptable, especially given how much you're spending on the board.

Thank you, it seems the process should be complete, as I'm in the BIOS. Appreciate it!
